About the Workshop

This workshop is organized by Mizan-Tepi University, Ethiopia in collaboration with Poornima University, (Jaipur) India, Baba Farid College, (Bathinda) India, and MathTech Thinking Foundation, India from 24 April 2023 to 07 May 2023 at 04:30 PM to 06:30 PM (IST) or 02:00 PM to 04:00 PM (EAT). There will be eight sessions on alternate days of 16 hours. There is no registration fee, E-certificate will be presented to each participant after attending successfully. Each participant will join the session by using his/her username/password. No separate link will be shared. All the updates regarding this event will be available on the event page. Attendance of each participant is mandatory during the session. All the presented contents will be provided to the participants.

The objective of the workshop

The aim of this workshop is to train students, working professionals, research scholars, and faculty of universities and colleges of various disciplines (e.g. Computer Science and Engineering, Social Science, Economics, Statistics, Biotechnology, Medicine, and Management, etc.) in Data Science (Statistical computation, and analysis) via R software. This workshop will provide a walking tutorial, with lots of hands-on activities, for those who are novices to the programming language and have little or no experience in this field. At the end of the workshop, participants will be able to i) understand statistical analysis using R programming; ii) Explore how to analyze research data using statistical methods and R programming; iii) Explore how to represent data using basic graphs in R.

Why is R programming?

R is actively used for statistical computing and design. It has brought about revolutionary improvements in big data and data analytics. It is the most widely used language in the world of data science. It is an integrated suite of software facilities for data manipulation, calculation, and graphical display. It covers the opportunities in R software for Schools, Colleges, and Universities. It is a great help for Statisticians and data miners for developing statistical software and data analysis, polls, and data mining surveys Even for Data scientists, Market analysts, and Social Scientists Program Content R is a wonderful learning platform.
